Yesterday I described the exercise to remember the best thing that happened this day, and re-experience the sensations of that experience. Do this exercise daily.
Today is Day 1.
Since before I remember myself, I like to dance. Years later, esthetics of dancing moved me to attend a ballet school and be an appreciative spectator of classic and modern ballet. Today I partake in a weekly group of ballet movement and enjoy the deep satisfaction from watching my body know what to do. I enjoy the way that warm tingly sensation moves in my chest upward to my throat and then back down to my navel and then back up to my throat and back down. I enjoy and I run it keeping in my mind the vision of myself in the mirror this morning doing the ballet moves.
I keep running this sensation up and down, silently attending to my sensations. This is the best thing that happened today and I am learning to sustain the experience, this particular experience of enjoyment and satisfaction from my ballet movement, in my body, right now, over and over, prolonging the effect of this sensation to the endless timeless continuum of joy.
Movement of sensation in my body, a wave up and down, up and down, over and over.
Run this for the next 10 minutes then go back to your day. As a result you will notice that the sensations you experience subsequently to this exercise will be twice as clear and more noticeable in your body, than before.
As a result of that, notice how through the day’s experience you find that there are more things you can observe, experience and remember, and begin to sort through your experiences to distinguish what you want to keep and what you want to discard. Better clarity in mind comes as a result of this exercise; as I notice, for morst people, this clarity is more desirable going forward.
Jot down some notes and sent me your comments in the box below. I look forward to observing the daily experience tomorrow.
