I didn’t know that cognac soothes the throat. Particularly a very good cognac. I took a sip, just about a tea spoonful, and held it in my mouth for a moment. Then I swallowed and as the aroma swelled around my mouth and seeped into my throat, I followed it all the way down to my stomach. The taste was so aromatic, I began to make a sound tasting the sip of cognac in my mouth, and as I did the different tastes came to my awareness. Like none of the following and all of them at once I exclaimed that it tastes like chocolate, and oranges, and a little bit like flowers. The heavenly taste continued to resonate throughout the way from my mouth all the way down to my stomach, and I continued to smell the aroma and the taste of the smooth richly flavored depth of the liquid over and over and over for minutes enjoying my moment with a beautiful color of the thick sparkly liquid in my glass.
