Last week I described the exercise reflecting on the best thing that happened this day, and re-experience the sensations of that experience. Do this exercise daily and in the end of the 30 days you experience deeper and fuller sensory awareness of your life, that many people call being alive.
Today is Day 4.
I got a thank you e-mail today from my client, who obviously was satisfied with my work. I am pleased. I like reading thank-you notes from my clients. Back in the day they used to send me colorful cards, and then it was time for e-cards, now it’s just e-mails, sometimes thank-yous come as very short texts on my phone, and then I know I really helped this one, that they really got it. Sometimes, I get nothing to let me know that I did a good job, yet, I know it. Today I got a note from a recent client, who experienced a breakthrough today, and could not contain herself, so she wrote to me. I read her note and I felt a nice warming feeling in the center of my chest. That’s what it’s all about for me.
I like having this sensation of warming in my chest in the end of my day with a client. This warmth in my chest gives me satisfaction about my work and inspiration to do more.
The sensation is going up to the back of my throat, and up into my head, particularly my upper right side of my head, above my right ear. I feel tingling in the upper right side of my scalp. Then it goes back down along my spine, my back, and I feel warmth and relaxation in my pelvis, a sensation of settling in, peace, and then quiet in my mind. There are no thoughts. A quiet satisfaction, and an inner smile, and I feel inspired. Again the tingling begins in the center of my chest and goes into the back of my neck, up into my head and upper right side of my brain, tingling above my ear, and back along my spine, tingling on the way toward satisfaction and quiet. It’s a peaceful and unemotional sensation of letting go, yet, exciting inspiration. I run this feeling, this sensation with quiet focus. For 10 minutes this is my exercise for you.
