According to Matt Ridley’s Red Queen hypothesis, outlined in the same title book, the evolution of human species is a very intriguing and highly organized process of natural selection. Apparently, there is a definite reason why are the way we are, why we like people we like, and why we succeed in what we want to achieve.
According to this research, successful people, those who are physically more attractive, are also highly influential and more powerful. Most of the time those who are taller and are more beautiful ( or handsome) have higher status, better positioned and make more money, and are more successful in getting what they want. And what do they want?
More power and more influence, and of course, more beauty and youthfulness, because it attracts more success and power and influence.
So who determines what is attractive and to whom and why? Do you ever wonder why there is a standard of whiter teeth, blonder hair, stronger muscles, taller, thinner, more flexible, bodies, and more symmetrical face, are considered attractive characteristics?
The Red Queen, the theory of natural selection and gene survival proves a powerful process, in every species. Well, for reproduction purposes, those who had healthier body were able to get better nutrition, and protect their home and therefore assure the survival of their off-springs, who in turn would be more fit for survival, would have a better positioning for…survival.
Babies who are born without trauma, in a natural way, have more survival skills and are healthier and stronger, and early on exhibit hefty leadership skills. A mother who is able to control her state in childbirth, remain calm and comfortable without drugs, and enjoy herself with her husband, has more nutritious milk, and makes a better parent for her baby.
Children who are raised in a home where love is exhibited, and the parents are healthy and fit, are able to easily connect with implicit states of knowing, find confidence in being at their best, be better communicators, that ultimately lead to a more satisfying experience in life.
Well, not everyone starts so comfortably. Today I work with those who had been successful and know how the Red Queen works, and today just for a moment, they paused their success because of a circumstance or a belief. For those who require integration and healthy reframing of the earlier experiences, or removing the limitation of limiting beliefs in their personal mythology, working with finding balance proved to be a useful start. Creating space for establishing a base-line experience of balance and peace, essentially a position of readiness, we take the work further into the transforming experience of being yourself.
In the work that I do, I often encounter a well-achieved image on the outside while on the inside the person is out of balance and needs integration. Present to the client, I model a combination of satisfaction and readiness through hypnosis, relaxation, story-telling and provoking awareness, body and mind spiritual awareness, in order to create a well-paced integration and balance. This allows the client to release previous misconception about her own perception of self, unwanted feelings, emotions, and acquire strength, better positioning in the personal mythology of a well-adapted connected and satisfied person, who is fit and ready for the next step.
